How Africa Shaped Our Christmas Celebrations: Discover the Hidden History
Interestingly, many Christians, particularly Black Christians, are often unaware of the true origins of the December global celebration. Previously, the celebration was variably scheduled in January, March, April, May, or September, reflecting uncertainty about the actual birthdate of Jesus.
The holidays we observe today have their roots in sacred days from ancient Kemetic or what is popularly known as Egyptian culture, where these occasions were timed with celestial events such as the alignment of stars, constellations, and the sun’s position relative to Earth.

African Written Scripts Unearthed: Beyond Egypt's Hieroglyphs
The colonial education narrative has consistently taught, and still teaches, Africans that their ancestors relied solely on oral traditions to transmit knowledge and memory. Sadly, Africans in the so-called West, Central, East, and Southern African regions are unaware of writing systems in these parts of Africa.

simply because there are similarities in culture does not mean does indigenous people of America didn't have the capabilities of building the pyramids specially since that has been historical evidence that shows in Peru there is a pyramid that predates pyramids of Egypt it is commendable that African American people want to know more about their history but in doing so simply cannot take credit for the entire civilization of America especially when there are many historical facts left out of Mesoamerican civilization and other indigenous civilizations native to American for example the Aztecs who were really the Mexica who named themselves Aztecs after the civilization of Aztlán which is believed to be in the Southwest which they took the culture of their ancestors and rebuilt it which is now called Mexico City which was once Tenochititlan

Great lecture, don't know how I missed this one. These Xi people are autochthonous
to Americas. They did not come from so-called Africa. Melanated peoples are original to the whole planet. There are mounds and pyramids in America older than any other structure found on this planet. Masonic secret masons sit on.

The TRUTH is that AFRICANS were EVERYWHERE FIRST! If not for the tribes who left AFRICA there would be no other ETHNIC GROUPS! Dig deep enough and you will find the TRUTH! It has been proven over and over again by archeologists , BONES AND SKULLS DON'T LIE!! Why do you think that the oldest images , statues, paintings all depict PEOPLE OF COLOR!! We need to change all of the history books in schools to reflect the TRUTH! This does not mean that one group is better than another , but to understand WE ALL CAME FROM ONE PEOPLE! AFRICANS!! Which is a GREAT HONOR to know and BE PROUD OF!!!!

I don't see the controversy. Multiple migrations and routes of humans "Out of Africa" has been well established. There is no "us and them", we all just took different roads, arriving at different times. The ironic thing is that people only talk about it in past tense, when its actually a continuing process to this very day.

The flat-faced, thick-lipped heads have caused some debate due to their resemblance to some African facial characteristics. Based on this comparison, some writers have said that the Olmecs were Africans who had emigrated to the New World.[40] But, the vast majority of archaeologists and other Mesoamerican scholars reject claims of pre-Columbian contacts with Africa.[41] Explanations for the facial features of the colossal heads include the possibility that the heads were carved in this manner due to the shallow space allowed on the basalt boulders. Others note that in addition to the broad noses and thick lips, the eyes of the heads often show the epicanthic fold, and that all these characteristics can still be found in modern Mesoamerican Indians. For instance, in the 1940s the artist/art historian Miguel Covarrubias published a series of photos of Olmec artworks and of the faces of modern Mexican Indians with very similar facial characteristics.[42] The African origin hypothesis assumes that Olmec carving was intended to be a representation of the inhabitants, an assumption that is hard to justify given the full corpus of representation in Olmec carving.[43] Ivan van Sertima claimed that the seven braids on the Tres Zapotes head was an Ethiopian hair style but he offered no evidence that this was an Ethiopian hair style at the appropriate time. The Egyptologist Frank Yurco has said that the Olmec braids do not resemble contemporary Egyptian or Nubian braids.[44]
Richard Diehl wrote "There can be no doubt that the heads depict the American Indian physical type still seen on the streets of Soteapan, Acayucan, and other towns in the region."[45]
