Another puff piece filled with crap. Cameroon is a failed state. Why am i so negative? Paul Biya, it is time for him and his kleptocratic regime to end. Members of the CPDM (the governing power) have blood on their hands.

Tout d'afrique dans un triangle– rebellions in the Far North, the Anglophone zone, and along the CAR border. No matter where you go there is a war.

The religious mix is great, but they are all crazy fundamentalist's who want to kill you.

Cameroonian food is great, unless you live in the northern provinces where malnutrition is endemic.

Pouching sponsored by the government is huge.

Adjusted for inflation, Cameroon's GDP hit its high point in 1986. Despite its pineapples, bananas, petroleum, bauxite, papaya, etc. The country under Biya has been treading water for 40 years.

Missionaries did not bring the traditional cloth to Cameroon, I suggest you consult the Basil Presbyterian Mission photo archives in switzerland to see how bogus that claim was. Clothing was and is a major status indicator. The elites in the 1880s dress much the same as the 1950, with western clothing dominating today. That missionaries clothed the NW and South is non-sense.

I love Cameroon, but this video is trash….

If you love Cameroon urge your government to pressure La Republique to make peace in the Anglophone zone, end the war on Islam, and support international medical efforts.

Is cameroon likely to escape poverty and become a first world African country? Really wish atleast one could become first world country and give atleast a framework of what needs to be done for prosperity, I can understand that every nation will be different in it's own way but poverty should still be reduced there

Incredible. Marvelous Cameroon! I am excited about so many things, of course the cuisine. I very much admire the order and social fluidity of your cities. I have known of, studied with, and corresponded with people of Cameroon since my youth; I was aware that despite a maligned reputation you had a stable government and semi-orderly civilization. I am very impressed with what I see. Let us continue our work to bring Africa out of the shadows and frankly into prosperity and non-violent power.

How Africa Shaped Our Christmas Celebrations: Discover the Hidden History

Published

on

Interestingly, many Christians, particularly Black Christians, are often unaware of the true origins of the December global celebration. Previously, the celebration was variably scheduled in January, March, April, May, or September, reflecting uncertainty about the actual birthdate of Jesus.
The holidays we observe today have their roots in sacred days from ancient Kemetic or what is popularly known as Egyptian culture, where these occasions were timed with celestial events such as the alignment of stars, constellations, and the sun’s position relative to Earth.

The colonial education narrative has consistently taught, and still teaches, Africans that their ancestors relied solely on oral traditions to transmit knowledge and memory. Sadly, Africans in the so-called West, Central, East, and Southern African regions are unaware of writing systems in these parts of Africa.
