What Hygiene Was Like For Medieval Peasants
Although cleanliness in the Middle Ages was primitive compared to what modern people enjoy, it doesn’t mean medieval hygiene didn’t exist. Despite living in an era long before indoor plumbing, shampoo, and nail salons, people used the best hygiene practices they could. Unfortunately, they didn’t have a lot to work with. Peasants had it especially bad and weren’t often able to afford luxuries like more than one set of clothing. For the lower classes, personal hygiene in the Middle Ages meant keeping clean however you could, even if it wasn’t easy.

How Africa Shaped Our Christmas Celebrations: Discover the Hidden History
Interestingly, many Christians, particularly Black Christians, are often unaware of the true origins of the December global celebration. Previously, the celebration was variably scheduled in January, March, April, May, or September, reflecting uncertainty about the actual birthdate of Jesus.
The holidays we observe today have their roots in sacred days from ancient Kemetic or what is popularly known as Egyptian culture, where these occasions were timed with celestial events such as the alignment of stars, constellations, and the sun’s position relative to Earth.

African Written Scripts Unearthed: Beyond Egypt's Hieroglyphs
The colonial education narrative has consistently taught, and still teaches, Africans that their ancestors relied solely on oral traditions to transmit knowledge and memory. Sadly, Africans in the so-called West, Central, East, and Southern African regions are unaware of writing systems in these parts of Africa.

Someone please explain where the primitive art came from? The Middle Ages weren't devoid of realistic looking art work, so I don't get why we are always shown drawings of a 12 year old???🤷🏽♀️🎭

I think this is common across the world that excepting the bath in equatorial countries. Due to amenable weather and abundance of water, people bathed at least once every day as mandated by religion or society.
Discharging poo, most people in India used to discharge their poo in a farm and then bury their poo with soil. Of course washing the ass with water was of paramount importance.
Camphor, salt, coal mix powder along with a wooden stick was used as a dental hygiene thing.
Pubic hair removal and hair in the arm pit hair removal was a norm at least among the royals and nobles, if not among the commoners.
But usage of water to cleanse the ass and genitals has always been the norm at least here. May be dude to the climate, less to do with religion.

Outhouses weren't so bad, if the smell was controlled, and if they were away from water sources. Not nice to have to go in the middle of winter in the middle of night. The outhouse would be moved as the pit filled.
