Recent trip to S. Africa and Kruger, Botswana and Kobe as well as reading Dr. David Livingston's journals have drastically altered my viewpoint. The supposed immediate and severe danger of wild animals is another of our generally accepted mythologies. These wild animals given an opportunity to live in a normal balanced ecology are NOT of grave or immediate danger to humans. They are dangerous if they have no natural food sources because we have destroyed the naturally balance ecological systems, they are of danger if they have seen humans brutally killing their family, friend, and cubs or babies. Let's be real – blowing off legs, trunks, catastrophic brain injuries, disembowling shotgun blasts, transections of spinal cords, and everything else you may or may not find sadistically amusing. Most of these animals whether you want or believe or not have brains that are very similar to ours , they have all the same structures for cognition, memory and emotions. I as an MD can tell tell you that it is true and the veterinarians no doubt would endorse this also. But its also a simple matter of thoughtful observation of animal behavior that informs the intelligent mind. Sure I know guns , i served 30 some years in the Army but there is no sport in hunting it is a cruel sadistic heartless perversion. Cruelty and disregard of humans towards humans such as the tremendous criminalities of slavery that went on for hundreds of years with horrible heartbreaking sufferings were predicated on a heartless brutality inspired by the ignorant males inflicting horrible atrocities on the animals.

As for the poverty in Cameroon, I doubt it is worse than elsewhere but such as it is – it is presumably due (as it essentially always is ) to procreation exceeding resources but as we know the answer is increasing the GDP as there are few brakes on population growth more effective than affluence. The blame for the incorrigible grinding poverty of course is a corrupt, ineffective, unimaginative, incompetent, over-reaching, government that is implicitly expert at constructing obstacles to freedom, entrepreneurship, and obtuse to laying the infrastructure permissive for a private sector that can self-organize solutions to all of it's societies problems and challenges. This of course very comfortably endorses the extremely safe opinion that the Camaroonians collectively are a very intelligent capable people

OK we know for sure that elected presidents in normal democracies never get re-elected more than once then the people get bored or disgusted and that's it. Look at Winston Churchill – he saved Britain during WW2 yet shortly after the very successful conclusion of war that great leader, statesman, and orator was voted out. By definition, Camaroon's so called democracy has been hijacked. But they have adapted as there is no alternative, adapted to the political/governmental BS and forge on – the mark of a good people wisely biding their time.

How Africa Shaped Our Christmas Celebrations: Discover the Hidden History

Published

on

Interestingly, many Christians, particularly Black Christians, are often unaware of the true origins of the December global celebration. Previously, the celebration was variably scheduled in January, March, April, May, or September, reflecting uncertainty about the actual birthdate of Jesus.
The holidays we observe today have their roots in sacred days from ancient Kemetic or what is popularly known as Egyptian culture, where these occasions were timed with celestial events such as the alignment of stars, constellations, and the sun’s position relative to Earth.

The colonial education narrative has consistently taught, and still teaches, Africans that their ancestors relied solely on oral traditions to transmit knowledge and memory. Sadly, Africans in the so-called West, Central, East, and Southern African regions are unaware of writing systems in these parts of Africa.
