The 2nd Mexican President was Vincente Guerrero. He was Afro Mexican, and he abolished slavery in Mexico. Slavery was a Spanish colonizing action.

I wish black people knew how upset we genuinely are when y’all call us racist and say degrading comments towards us. We don’t want anything but equality. To be equal to everyone and y’all think we’re like the white man when the white man doesn’t consider us white. Black and Brown coming together is our way out of oppression, together.

May there is some racism, but I'm happy to say that is not part of the Hispanic culture, from Spain to the Spanish America, we always hated slavery.

  16. @king1ut275

    February 19, 2023 at 7:19 pm

If you are of hispanic descent today and agree with slavery = be you & stay in your sector. If you are hispanic and know you came afrikan ancestry = we accept you as our own.

  17. @king1ut275

    February 19, 2023 at 7:37 pm

Black Mexicans = Nah, they were NOT going for that ishh. A Black Mexicans thinks like a Black Mexican not a Tama Who.

mexicans are treated a bit better than black people by white people because mexicans are half white. mexicans don't approve of slavery and never have. it's not in our culture. our culture is unique because it's created from within. yeah we're half native and half white(spanish). an often overlooked point about mexicans is that we're interested in other cultures. we see a black person and we take immediate interest. almost like it's familiar.

when it comes down to it, slavery wasn't seen as an evil in their time. it was a part of life and always had been up until 200 years ago.

Blacks need to thank mexicans for getting the party started to abolishing slavery. Mexico had an all out war with the US and freed black slaves, they lost half of their land because of it. Of course the whites took credit for ending slavery.

Fun Fact. Blacks invaded mexico with spain and genocided the mexicans, raped the women and stole their land. Blacks really are no different than their white brothers.

  35. @skillet6870

    August 19, 2023 at 5:06 am

@gusfil8404  The notion that mexicans are of an exclusive mix of white european spanish and brown indigenous indian is pure nonsense and steeped in historical myths and cultural inaccuracies.
Mexico boasts 4 roots: African, indigenous, asian and european. And aside from the latter three, almost ALL mexicans posses upwards of 5 1/2% to 6% African DNA. And THAT'S a fact!
Ignorant mexicans demonstrate a well documented anti-Black racism, bigotry and hatred towards the very Black people whose DNA and ancestry they posses.
And if that sounds crazy and twisted, its because it 'IS' crazy and twisted!!

  36. @Sneakycastro69

The reason Mexico lost the land to USA is because Mexico was vulnerable from fighting Spain. Polk saw the opportunity to expand and easily defeat Mexico.

How Africa Shaped Our Christmas Celebrations: Discover the Hidden History

Published

on

Interestingly, many Christians, particularly Black Christians, are often unaware of the true origins of the December global celebration. Previously, the celebration was variably scheduled in January, March, April, May, or September, reflecting uncertainty about the actual birthdate of Jesus.
The holidays we observe today have their roots in sacred days from ancient Kemetic or what is popularly known as Egyptian culture, where these occasions were timed with celestial events such as the alignment of stars, constellations, and the sun’s position relative to Earth.

The colonial education narrative has consistently taught, and still teaches, Africans that their ancestors relied solely on oral traditions to transmit knowledge and memory. Sadly, Africans in the so-called West, Central, East, and Southern African regions are unaware of writing systems in these parts of Africa.
