In ancient times, wildcats were fierce carnivorous hunters. And unlike dogs, who have undergone centuries of selective breeding, modern cats are genetically very similar to ancient cats. How did these solitary, fierce predators become our sofa sidekicks? Eva-Maria Geigl traces the domestication of the modern house cat.

Lesson by Eva-Maria Geigl, directed by Chintis Lundgren.

    Cats don't have human owners.
Cats have human operators who are supposed to provide them with food and a warm home.

My wife and I were owned by a lovely cat called 'Elsa' who adopted us to help keep us sane. My theory is that cats invaded the Earth thousands of years ago and took over our world, but we still haven't woken up to it.

My cat is different. She has total emotional breakdowns when I'm gone. I had to leave her for a week recently. She had a constant supply of food anf water. She screamed loud meows the entire time so much that she was horse by the time i came home. She never leaves my side for long. Shes my best friend. I can even walk her on a harness but she prefers to be held like a baby.

My 1st Cat was Tarquin, a present form "Granny" in Scotland, Perthshire, I had to wait until he opened his eyes,
Bonding is a two way Relationship, we used to go for long walks in the Highlands.
I know he is waiting for me on a cloud 😻

It's always funny to see the small African wildcats in zoos, where they are often displayed near cheetahs and chervils. They look exactly like domestic tabby cats, and you always wonder for a minute if the zoo is being entirely honest.
