Interestingly, many Christians, particularly Black Christians, are often unaware of the true origins of the December global celebration. Previously, the celebration was variably scheduled in January, March, April, May, or September, reflecting uncertainty about the actual birthdate of Jesus.
The holidays we observe today have their roots in sacred days from ancient Kemetic or what is popularly known as Egyptian culture, where these occasions were timed with celestial events such as the alignment of stars, constellations, and the sun’s position relative to Earth.

The colonial education narrative has consistently taught, and still teaches, Africans that their ancestors relied solely on oral traditions to transmit knowledge and memory. Sadly, Africans in the so-called West, Central, East, and Southern African regions are unaware of writing systems in these parts of Africa.

Onyeka's comments, starting at around 20:30 regarding Balthazar the Magi representing the newly born protestant church is a profound observation. My own research leads me to completely agree with Onyeka's assertion being that the Magi were a group of wiseman from Media/Persia. The association between the Magi and the Zoroastrian sages is very close and the customs of Persian Solar adoration celebrate a figure named Haji Firuz/Piruz during their new year celebration Nowruz. Nowruz, occurs in the spring and celebrates the New Year with the newness of life as well as the "new sun" being that Nowruz is celebrated the day after the Spring equinox. Everyday day after the Spring is daily longer and thus symbolic of new beginnings of light. Haji Firuz/Piruz, is a represented as a Black man who is the Fire Keeper of the eternal flame and is often depicted by modern Persians who dress up in Black Face (much like Swarthy Pete) to represent Haji Firuz. He is the harold of the New Year and as such he bring in the New Sun and the New Year. In relation to Onyeka comments it would seem that his correct in his interpretation of the message spoken through the image, that Balthazar is the crucial element of the scene and is the harold of the new Church of England. It is also interested that England is also known as the Empire that the sun never set upon and perhaps this new Church of England and Balthazar became a metaphor for the ushering in of that era after the Magi were taken captive.
