African Muslims in America Before Columbus | Islam and the Black American

Published

on

While many start the story of Islam in America with the Enslaved Muslims brought from Africa, Islam has rich early interactions through luminaries like Khashkhash Ibn Saeed Ibn Aswad and Mansa Musa. Knowing this history is significant and reshapes the story of how Islam in America is told altogether.

Series Description: Two worlds that were and still are so frequently intertwined, are Islam and Black America. Yet often these two are looked at as either mutually exclusive, or limited to one historical period or transformative personality. In this series, Sr. Ieasha Prime gives a brief overview of the many ways in which these worlds interacted, and the many figures we owe that interaction to.

ISLAM/Assalamu alaikum. I love this presentation. Believe it or not, there is so much more to this topic than can be covered in this presentation. Many of the Amerindian tribes were, in fact, Moors. There were also aboriginal Mu'urs. Keep up the good work!

Yes but what the don't tell or what they don't know is that the Unitrd States , Central and South America is Moroccan territory that was inhabit by Moorish people ( Moors ) North America is the Northwest part of the AL-Maghred ( the farthest west , not the far west ) North , Central and South of the Americas is Moorish territory part of the Moorish Emprie !
The people who ate called African Americans are Moorish people who were enslaved
and renamed from Moor to BlackaMoor to eventually just Black . If y'all look up the word Amexem you will notice that its Africa first name before it was remained Africa .

How Africa Shaped Our Christmas Celebrations: Discover the Hidden History

Published

on

Interestingly, many Christians, particularly Black Christians, are often unaware of the true origins of the December global celebration. Previously, the celebration was variably scheduled in January, March, April, May, or September, reflecting uncertainty about the actual birthdate of Jesus.
The holidays we observe today have their roots in sacred days from ancient Kemetic or what is popularly known as Egyptian culture, where these occasions were timed with celestial events such as the alignment of stars, constellations, and the sun’s position relative to Earth.

The colonial education narrative has consistently taught, and still teaches, Africans that their ancestors relied solely on oral traditions to transmit knowledge and memory. Sadly, Africans in the so-called West, Central, East, and Southern African regions are unaware of writing systems in these parts of Africa.
