The Google Pixel 8 came out in October after a much-anticipated release, so it was only a matter of time before the Google Pixel 7 series dropped in price. That time is here. The 128GB unlocked Google Pixel 7a is $374 (originally $499.99), the 128GB unlocked Google Pixel 7 is now available for $399.99 (originally $599), and the 128GB unlocked Google Pixel 7 Pro is $512.03 (originally $899). All three Google Pixel phones are at their lowest price ever, according to price comparison tools. For reference, the 7 Pro hit $549 on Feb. 14, which was then the record-low price.
The main difference between the 7 and the Pro is that with the 7 Pro, you get a better camera, a superior Super Res Zoom, and a larger display with a slightly better refresh rate. Both phones give you a 50MP wide camera and one 12MP ultrawide, but the Pro has a better field of view and a 48MP telephoto camera. You can read more about the difference in our breakdown here.
The Google Pixel 7 is still an “outstanding phone,” according to PCMag’s review. It was deemed the best Android phone for its price and the most affordable flagship phone. If you prioritize long battery life, the Pixel 7 has a slight advantage with two more hours than the Pixel 7 Pro, with up to 12 hours and 10 minutes. The Pixel 7 Pro got an “excellent” review from PCMag.
The Pixel 7a has a similar metal-framed design to the Pixel 7, but it is slightly smaller and lighter, with a 6.1-inch screen over the Pixel 7’s 6.3. The back is also made out of a glossy plastic back instead of the more premium feel from the Pixel 7’s Gorilla Glass Victus material. The cameras are different, but there isn’t a clear “better” one.
Users shopping for a high-end Android phone for an affordable price should take a serious look at either of these Pixel phones. All three will be covered by Google’s ongoing security updates and Pixel feature updates for years to come.

Northern lights appear in L.A. County skies this weekend
The northern lights dazzled across California skies late Friday night — even as far south as Los Angeles County.
The stunning nighttime display of pink and purple lights across the sky was mostly visible in the high desert and along Highway 2 in the Angeles National Forest. Several viewers posted their photos on social media.
“Never would’ve dreamed of seeing #aurora here, much less capturing it with an iPhone. Breathtaking,” one person wrote on X.
Typically confined to polar regions, the aurora borealis is making an appearance in the continental United States this weekend thanks to an unusually strong solar storm. The dazzling phenomenon, also known as the northern lights, is caused by supercharged collisions of solar energy into the gas of Earth’s atomosphere.
For the first time since January 2005, the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration issued a severe geomagnetic storm watch, warning that a concentration of energy flaring from the sun could disturb Earth’s electromagnetic field.
A geomagnetic storm happens when energy from solar wind is transferred into the electromagnetic field around Earth. Most of these atomic particles are usually deflected, except for those in the polar areas, which create the northern lights.
But unusually strong bursts of energy can cause geomagnetic storms large enough to disrupt communications, and NOAA said there have already been “reports of power grid irregularities” and disruptions to GPS signals. The storms also create colorful nighttime displays in the sky much farther south.
Those that missed last night’s performance may still be able to catch a glimpse — the storm is expected to persist through Sunday. Simply look north.

Melania Trump Confirms Her Son Barron Just Made a Total 180 Once Again With His Future
Mere days after Barron Trump was set to be the Republican RNC Delegate, and make his solo political appearance, he’s backed out. Right when people thought he was following in his father, former US President Donald Trump, his mother Melania Trump confirmed that Barron isn’t stepping into politics just yet.
Melania confirmed to People on May 10 that Barron won’t be a delegate at the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.
More from SheKnows
“While Barron is honored to have been chosen as a delegate by the Florida Republican Party, he regretfully declines to participate due to prior commitments,” the Office of Melania Trump.
However, most of Donald’s other children, and children-in-law, have been chosen like Don Jr., Eric and Tiffany, as well as Don Jr.’s fiancée, Kimberly Guilfoyle, and Tiffany’s husband, Michael Boulos. Ivanka and Jared Kushner weren’t attached since both have distanced themselves from politics.
The Republican National Convention in Milwaukee will take place in July, meaning that at that time, he’ll either be doing summer classes for his first year of college, or prepping for college.
For those who don’t know, Donald has five children in total. He and his first wife, the late Ivana Trump, welcomed three children named Donald Jr., born in 1977, Ivanka, born in Oct 1981, and Eric, in 1984. Donald and his second wife Marla Maples welcomed a daughter named Tiffany, born in Oct 1993.
Donald welcomed his fifth child named Barron, born in March 2006, with his current wife Melania, and now, his youngest is searching for the perfect college.

Mother’s Day waffle breakfast recipe: Celebrity chef says this is ‘best of both worlds’
The arrival this weekend of Mother’s Day 2024 means millions of Americans are planning to celebrate their moms in one special way or another.
For some, Mother’s Day means cooking a homemade meal, maybe even serving breakfast in bed.
Florida-based celebrity chef Robert Irvine of “Restaurant: Impossible” fame shared a waffle croque madame recipe with Fox News Digital and said it’s one of his favorite breakfasts.
MOTHER’S DAY BREAKFAST PANCAKE RECIPE FROM CELEBRITY CHEF HAS FRUIT FINISH TO MAKE MOM SMILE
“This is the best of both worlds. You get the sweet from the waffle and the savory from the ham and eggs,” he said.
“It’s a nice balance of carbs and protein, all in a classy little package with a fancy-sounding name.”
Irvine said that, to him, Mother’s Day screams breakfast in bed as a way of pampering the person who means so much to everyone in the family.
“That should start with serving her a uniquely delicious meal, not something that is part of the regular breakfast rotation in your house,” he said.
Here’s how to make his waffle croque madame recipe.
