The Most Searched: A Celebration of Black History Makers

Published

on

This Black History Month, we’re celebrating some of #TheMostSearched moments and individuals in America. To find them, we used U.S.-based Google Trends Data to identify Black American achievements that were searched more than any others between January 1, 2004 – when U.S. Search Data first became available – and July 1, 2019. Here’s to the history makers and all those they continue to inspire.

See the full methodology behind the film and explore more of #TheMostSearched at g.co/blackhistorymonth.

notice again its always history only here in this country with a special focus on the civil rights movement to integration into Caucasian society. They will never tell you our true history or biblical identity. that Jesus is a hebrew and his skin color is black. open the bible and read stop settling for this trash

Stay proud. But please do not blame the others for your current failure. Some communities need to be changed from within for the better.

Its damn near sacrilegious to not put Michael in this.. i keep coming back every year bc this video makes me happy but thinking about what michael could have contributed to this makes me sad. We all know he was scapegoated, he deserves some recognition for the impact had. Most people have either good stage presence, good lyricists, good producers, or great performers. MJ was a 21st century Mozart. RIP

He should have used his celebrity platform to talk about life principles. Why are 75% of black children born out of wedlock? Why are black ministers promoting this type of behavior? Is this black culture holding the black community back, keeping them poor, keeping them needed, and believing that they are a victim of white society? Just asking….

Mat 8:2  And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

Mat 8:3  And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

How Africa Shaped Our Christmas Celebrations: Discover the Hidden History

Published

on

Interestingly, many Christians, particularly Black Christians, are often unaware of the true origins of the December global celebration. Previously, the celebration was variably scheduled in January, March, April, May, or September, reflecting uncertainty about the actual birthdate of Jesus.
The holidays we observe today have their roots in sacred days from ancient Kemetic or what is popularly known as Egyptian culture, where these occasions were timed with celestial events such as the alignment of stars, constellations, and the sun’s position relative to Earth.

The colonial education narrative has consistently taught, and still teaches, Africans that their ancestors relied solely on oral traditions to transmit knowledge and memory. Sadly, Africans in the so-called West, Central, East, and Southern African regions are unaware of writing systems in these parts of Africa.
