I was told many many years ago that rice was founded by black Africans. But like everything else in black or African history it was hijacked and certain people get credit for putting another spin on history. Trust me, we're used to it.

No senor!

One reason the African heritage of Mexico is so hidden, and denied is "Everyone" in Mexico, or the majority of Mexicans, even the so called "Afro Mexicanos" denied this colonial heritage…. Before the reverend Glynn Jemmott who is of obvious African ancestry, came along, and helped Mexicans understand their African heritage, most of not all so called Afro Mexicanos denied their African heritage… This was due to 500 plus years of being told it is better to marry a white, or whiter/ lighter person para mejorar la Raza! Now Mexicans who have strong African phenotypes are bold in speaking of their African heritage… A heritage that was lost/ hidden in the colonial mindset of mejorar la Raza! Hardly any African – ness is left in Mexico ! Today the so called Afro Mexicanos have to YouTube African dances so they can re learn their lost culture ! Cuba is still very African! Their African music, dance, food, and religion is still very much in tact ! THE Africans of Mexico thought it was better to forget their African ways, and they chose to imitate, and teach their children the european culture which is well reflected in the so called Afro Mexicano lack of AFRICAN NESS !

Marco Polo Hernández Cuevas says at 0:40 "But the deference what I do is approach the subject from an African Centric (Afrocentric) perspective" . That's why so much misinformation on the truth of Mexican Culture!
