Comic Con 2024 is upon us. The con starts this Thursday July 25th and runs through Sunday July 28th at the San Diego Convention Center. The last few years were marred by COVID-19 concerns and last year’s SAG-AFTRA strike, so this year’s lineup feels like breathe of fresh air! A return to normalcy.

Comic Con has been announcing it’s daily lineup this past week and some of the highlights we are most excited about include:

Hall H brings the action!  Marvel has already announced a Saturday panel planned for Hall H, but it’s also headed for Hall H on Thursday, July 25, at 6:30 p.m. With “Deadpool & Wolverine” opening the weekend of Comic-Con. Marvel is making a big splash with stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, director Shawn Levy and Marvel President Kevin Feige. Also confirmed for a Hall H return, is Chris Hemsworth joining cast members of the Paramount animated film “Transformers One.: at 11:45am on Friday July 25.

Amazon Prime Video’s “Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power,” which actually premiered in 2022 but was pulled from the planned 2023 lineup, will make its Comic Con return in Hall H. Showrunners J.D. Payne, Patrick McKay and select cast members will be in attendance The panel is scheduled for 11:05 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Friday, July 26, Hall H, SDCC.

“Twilight” fans get ready because actor Cam Gigandet will join actors Bella Thorne and Jack Kilmer on July 26 for a panel on “The Tower,” a sci-fi fantasy film about a mermaid forgotten and trapped in a water tower. The stars will join director-writer Adam Sigal. The panel is set for 4:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. Friday, July 26. Room 6A, SDCC.

Netflix’s “Jurassic Park: Chaos Theory” which is set to premiere this fall will feature actor DDarren Barnet and cast members, alongside the show’s executive producers, Scott Kreamer and Aaron Hammersley, for a panel and exclusive screening of Season 2’s first episode. Check this out at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 28. Room 6DE, SDCC.

Calling all comedy fans! Groundlings will celebrate “50 Years of Laughs” will appearances by alumni Will Ferrell, Lisa Kudrow and Jennifer Coolidge, to name a few! During the panels, actors will discuss their favorite Groundlings sketches and most iconic characters from over the years. Don’t miss this from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday. Indigo Ballroom, Hilton San Diego Bayfront.

Paramount is returning this year with The Lodge, a popular experiential activation that takes place outside the convention center showcasing it’s top projects including “Ghosts,” “Dora,” “Mean Girls (2024),” “Criminal Minds: Evolution” and “Star Trek: Discovery.”  The Lodge runs all weekend in the Gaslamp Quarter at Happy Does Bar, 340 Fifth Ave., Gaslamp Quarter. 

In addition, the networks’ streaming platform Paramount+ is introducing a new “Dexter” prequel series “Original Sin” that dives into the young mind of serial killer and vigilante Dexter Morgan. This year’s panel will be moderated by Sarah Michelle Gellar and Patrick Gibson, who plays young Dexter Morgan. Taking place 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. Friday, July 26. Ballroom 20, SDCC.

Hulu is bringing back its ‘Animayhem’ Factory featuring a varying display of interactive elements, memorabilia to take home, and themed refreshments for fans of all ages from popular titles like  Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, Futurama, The Simpsons, and much more. The walk through space is open all weekend but this was a fan favorite last year with long lines so be sure to get there early!

Peacock’s highly anticipated Roman epic drama “Those About to Die” — starring Anthony Hopkins, Iwan Rheon, Sara Martins, Moe Hashim, Jojo Macari and Dimitri Leonidas — promises activations both inside and outside the convention center. Fans can experience a chariot race, much like the gladiators on the show, in an activation that is touted to be a replica of Circus Maximus, the largest stadium in Rome built for chariot races. Inside, some of the show’s stars will join executive producer/director Roland Emmerich for a panel from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, July 25. Ballroom 20, SDCC.

Other stars already confirmed for panels during Comic Con 2024 include “Mean Girls” and Hallmark staple Jonathan Bennett and Director Kevin Smith.

In addition to the panels and star-studded appearances returning, fans can find over 100 up-and-coming creators and artists at Artists’ Alley inside Comic-Con. Last year we saw some amazing fan art and illustrations and are excited to take home a one of a kind piece again this year. Fans can also talk to these artists at their booths and mix and mingle with comic book publishers. Artists’ Alley is located on the south end of the Exhibit Hall, near lobby G, SDCC.
