Why would anyone put a thumb down to such wealth of knowledge?? This is truly inspiring.

I remember being supposed to take one of two opinions regarding European occupation of India in college. It went something like should Europe have helped them via subjugation or given them an undeniably bad international deal, for their own sake. I was disgusted. I write that the British should have simply shared their knowledge, neither subjugated nor occupied the country. I received an F. All hail the holy liberal publications of history.

    History Matters

The statues should not be taken down but the plaque below
the monument should be rewritten reflecting the truth. If we cover up the past
the truth becomes lost and then the past is often repeated. Take what has been

    saved from history in Germany

and what was done to the Jews. History is the window to our salvation through

learning and not repeating the same mistakes.

He could at least use the Spanish version of his name: Don Juan.
P.S. Britain is in the centre of maps because of the Greenwich meridian. This talk has a very shoddily laid out argument.

People also don't know that most slaves were sold by village and town leaders to everyone else. So who is sick? Both sides. The side that sells their own people, and the side that purchases them…
And yes look it up, blacks sold blacks… it was not just whites going to Africa and raiding the continent.
Thank you for the presentation, very much appreciated 🙂

Until the 17th century Britain and her people were under constant attack by barbary pirates. Coastal towns where invaded and people taken as slaves by those barbary pirates who also attacked British merchant ships. This continued Until Britain built a navy powerful enough to defeat the barbary pirates. Rule Brittania was written, later put to music, as a poem of thanksgiving. The barbary pirates came from North Africa

After 2022 years of common history it is important to understand that there are things in the earth that has become harden…..racial hostility is one of those things. Writing, speaking, preaching about it has a purpose to a degree. But I have lived long enough to recognize that harden beliefs often are impossible to change. Rather each individual must decide how they will approach their life on earth.

Good talk – yet, USA is not "the world. White people were enslaved in Greece and Rome – so Blacks being enslaved is just a modern conversation to fit an agenda of oppression versus succession. Maybe, more talks are needed….

Postmodernism and Its Impact, Explained.

Published

on

Helen Pluckrose outlines some of the arguments later explored in depth in her bestselling 2020 book, Cynical Theories (co-authored with James Lindsay). The essay charts the pernicious influence of postmodernist thinking on two generations of academics and activists. If you want to understand how we got to a place where microaggressions are denounced as violence but the brutal terrorism of an intifada is considered righteous, this is an important primer.

Iona Italia reads Helen Pluckrose’s essay published in Quillette: https://quillette.com/2024/05/07/how-french-intellectuals-ruined-the-west-foucault-lyotard-derrida/
