My Dad and my Oupa was part of the Rhodesian army my Dad was 18 at the time he joined he left Zimbabwe in 1979 when he was 20 my Oupa made him leave for his safety saying to my Dad “you have to live the life I wanted for you but you can’t live it here our home is gone”

My Oupa was a brave man awarded many medals and saved many lives he built houses on his Farm so that his workers had a home made sure all the kids on the streets near him had food he used to stand by the smaller kids so that the bigger kids wouldn’t steal the food from them he was a good man.
my dad settled in Australia and met my mum who’s English they now own a biltong shop

This reminds me of something I read from the Bush War
-Rhodies recover enemy rifles after each engagement
-They keep finding rifles with the rear sight dialed in to the highest setting, practically fucking indirect fire
-They are extremely confused by this
-Eventually they ask a prisoner about it during interrogation
-Literally none of them know what the sights are for, they think that choosing the biggest number makes the gun shoot harder
Warfare in Africa is truly unbelievable

And when Black Liberation Movements ( BLMs) , such as SWAPO and ANC, eventually broke off from the " Caucasian Colonialist Oppressors" , and, subsequently became independent Nation States, went to the Caucasian Rich United Nations 🇺🇳 , after Black on Black Violence, and begged the White Man to stop the 🩸 and 💀of the Black Man. How ironic.

So while communists helped each other, the civilized powers squabbled endlessly over inane topics such as collateral damage in a completely legal attack on a military target. Completely retarded international relations. How could the US allow the UN embargo of Rhodesia? If not as well supply it with weapons, like the communists did. What a disgrace!

  34. @Broomtwo

    May 2, 2024 at 10:27 pm

Britain's Labour government completely screwed over Rhodesia. They forced the Rhodesian government into an untenable position, of basically having to give up the entire country to USSR and Chinese-funded terrorists, without a gradual change in governance. It forced Rhodesia to basically declare independence, or pack up and leave after the country was handed over, so they chose to declare independence. Then Britain goes to the United Nations and gets tons of sanctions put on Rhodesia after they are the ones that forced Rhodesia into their predicament. Predictably, the Communists with foreign funding won and the Rhodesians with minimal outside help lost in the end, and the country became a complete unmitigated disaster, just as anyone could have predicted.

How Africa Shaped Our Christmas Celebrations: Discover the Hidden History

Published

on

Interestingly, many Christians, particularly Black Christians, are often unaware of the true origins of the December global celebration. Previously, the celebration was variably scheduled in January, March, April, May, or September, reflecting uncertainty about the actual birthdate of Jesus.
The holidays we observe today have their roots in sacred days from ancient Kemetic or what is popularly known as Egyptian culture, where these occasions were timed with celestial events such as the alignment of stars, constellations, and the sun’s position relative to Earth.

The colonial education narrative has consistently taught, and still teaches, Africans that their ancestors relied solely on oral traditions to transmit knowledge and memory. Sadly, Africans in the so-called West, Central, East, and Southern African regions are unaware of writing systems in these parts of Africa.
