Sabrina Fortune sets new F20 world record in Paralympics build up

Sabrina Fortune has broken her own F20 shot put world record in the build up to the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games.

The 27-year-old threw 14.83m at a senior meeting at Alexander Stadium, Birmingham on Sunday.

That was 10cm further than the Deeside competitor’s previous best mark set in May at the at the World Para Athletics Championships in Japan.

Fortune is among the Para-athletes named by ParalympicsGB for the Paris Games that will begin on 28 August and run until 8 September.
