part 2. this is a video about an exhibit at the oakland museum about the little known histrory of african slaves in mexico and it’s influence on the culture and history. today the fact that there are mexican of african decent is usually ignored or completly denied so i give a little history lesson on this subject hopefully you will learn something new about mexican history …

    Actually, I have seen people of african roots all over Mexico even in Jalisco. Mexicanos, we are a mixture of all 3 races, somos una mezcla excepcional.

    miacruz9 . this is true many blacks and creoles from luisiana moved to the east coast of mexico during slavery . there are many of there descendents in veracruz tamalipas like in tampico and probaly matamoros as well . i hve been to veracruz yanga el puerto and mandinga ..

    Yup! I went to Yungas, Bolivia and saw an afro-bolivian village, ti was awesome. They live pretty cool with the indigenous people over there, its cool to see

    There's also a lot that escaped from US – Muskogee and Seminole- that escaped into Mexico from Florida

    It's a shame that people would rather identify with their conqueror oppressor than to identify with the original peoples and victims. That Willie Lynch braid washing was so intrenched that it was passed down from generation.

    My mother is from Guerrero and my father is from Veracruz, so chances are I have African blood in me. Interesting.

    Very interesting your video… Funny thing…. My maternal grandmother was always ashamed and hiding she had a black grandfather…. my father indeed has very strong physical characteristiques but his hair is soft…. then my father married my mother who was from Michoacan and seems she had french and english roots and very fair skin… Im the darker in my family…

    I married a white tall blue eyes french man with strong english and nordic roots… but my last kid (I had 3) its amazing, my grandmother couldnt deny anymore our african roots, my son is a beautiful dark skinned curly hair with blue eyes and a body only black kids can have

    Colombia also might be the fourth they have a pretty Large Black Population to especially the Carribean and Pacific coast. especially a area called Choco look it up it's Africa in South America. theres a cool Afro Colombian Rap group from Choco called Chocquibtown they play nice music.

    I traveled in Mexico I noticed also the Afro-indigenous mixture in many Mexicanos. Thanks for getting all this information out! Most of us African-americans–like most Americans–don't get informed about the incredible African contribution to ALL the
    Americas. The trans-atlantic slave trade was to ALL the Americas and the Caribbean.
