From May of last year, Lesley Stahl’s report on an Air Force veteran who unknowingly bought a former plantation house where his ancestors were enslaved. From November 2022, Scott Pelley’s story on Black cemeteries paved over in Florida. From June 2020, Pelley’s look at efforts to investigate the Greenwood Massacre in Tulsa. And February of last year, Bill Whitaker’s visit with the HistoryMakers, a nonprofit documenting untold stories of African American achievement.

My family left pittsylvania co. Va. In the early 1800s because of the big plantations coming in and taking over.

Everyone is justifiably upset and angry about this issue BUT wasn’t JUST blacks that this was done too. This same treatment and worse for a longer period of time was done to the American Indians and for this reason the continuous “whining” of how mistreated one race is , is just plain disgusting. You aren’t the only ones who suffered.

"we have to sit and talk about it" and people need to LISTEN to the voices of the people effected. Sit down, shut up, listen and take action if you aren't part of the community. American history is not all sunshine and roses.

He did everything he could to make sure that the sale of the house failed, but I think that his ancestors came through. This house and land Were meant for this family.

I Live in Miami Florida right down the street from an African American cemetery that apartments were built over. A simple “Marker” is there today saying what that place use to be and honestly it’s just not enough.

I’m 70 and come from a line of 17 generations of “SEE”. Back to Ellis Island. But watching this for the THIRD still amazes me.

34:58 it’s insidious. We had to actually get in front of the bulldozer with maps and documents as they tried to put a high way over it. I had telephoned the news station. There’s a big curve. GOD will not be mocked. JESUS don’t play ‘bout me 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
